Technology is going through a tremendous transformation and this is a very exciting time to join our team! The Chief Technology Office (CTO) is leading the transformation in a multi-cloud technology landscape by developing and delivering innovative products that delight our customers and speed to market banking products to our customers. This includes leading and managing the Cloud, Agile implementation, engineering, architecture, and all the tools, products, and training that will enable team members to achieve our transformation.
The office of the CIO Development & Cloud Enablement is at the forefront of this transformation. We are increasingly shifting from a project-centric to a product-centric delivery method by adopting Agile methodologies and contemporary technologies to continuously deliver new features and capabilities in a secure, compliant manner. To accomplish this transformational shift, we are looking for two (2) Technology Evangelists with deep experience in software development, strategy, and contemporary technology practices to help move the company at all levels (engineering to CTO/CIOs) to drive a consistent and impactful technology transformation within Wells Fargo.
The Technology Evangelist positions will report to the CIO of Development & Cloud Enablement. In conjunction with the CIO, they will leverage deep domain expertise in Cloud, DevSecOps, Agile, and full technology stack to drive adoption of a portfolio of fit-for-purpose Products. Through evangelizing the products, their goal is to empower engineering across Technology to deliver high-quality and risk-free product suite that leverages contemporary development, testing, and delivery practices and tooling to achieve the organization’s goals. They will also ensure a consistent approach for all Cloud products and partner with Line of Business Engagement leads to help application teams migrate applications to Cloud, DevSecOps, and contemporary engineering practices.
Scope will include:
Cloud strategy and enablement
Product strategy and enablement
Technology product portfolio management
Tools and processes for greater ability and stability – CI/CD
Proven technical expertise with one or more of the following:
Automation and CI/CD Framework: Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, Ansible, Puppet, Git
Programming language: Java, .Net (Standard or Core)
Public Cloud: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Private Cloud Products: Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
Container solutions: Docker, Kubernetes, PKS
Preference is for selected candidate to work within a specific Wells Fargo location: Philadelphia-PA. Other locations may be considered include: Summit-NJ, Raleigh-NC, Minneapolis-MN, Chandler-AZ, and San Francisco-CA. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
12+ years of technology experience
5+ years of strategic planning in a technology environment
3+ years of leadership experience in a technology environment
3+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments
Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
10 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both
4+ years of experience leading and executing complex technology transformational programs across an enterprise
3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
Design consultation experience at the highest technical level: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definition
Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: build/deploy processes, and release management
Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests for information and collaboration, working with a wide range of people
Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
