This position is responsible for helping the Library make a positive impact in our community. You will oversee Library Marketing Programs such as communications, print media and ads, media relations, social media, graphic design, branding, and outreach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop marketing strategies and plans
Facilitate marketing of educational and promotional programs and events
Research and develop marketing materials, i.e. brochures, flyers, reports, etc.
Prepare press releases, presentations, speeches, and correspondence by gathering information, writing copies, editing, and distributing materials to staff and external organizations
Participate in community organizations to promote the Library's image and programs
Assist in planning events, and photograph events, and manage uploading to Repository/ Intranet as required - brochures, images, templates, videos, presentations, etc.
Collaborate with Web Team on GCPL websites and other web projects
Evaluate marketing, outreach, volunteer, and other program outcomes, and develop success metrics and monitor results of marketing initiatives and programs
Assist Library administration with developing the annual budget by providing input on department needs and funding
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, and three or more years of Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related experience
