Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing tax compliance and reporting functions, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies. As the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic business advice on tax matters and managing the preparation of small business corporate and individual income tax returns. You will leverage your expertise and knowledge across a wide variety of sectors, working closely with small businesses. Responsibilities
-Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and other documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with current regulations and laws
-Act as a liaison between clients and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to answer questions and resolve potential discrepancies
-Implement and monitor tax strategies to minimize taxes and maximize returns
-Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client savings
-Assist with the preparation of complex business tax returns, identify potential tax savings opportunities, and counsel clients on taxation matters
-You will handle installations of new clients and new client back work
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
-At least 2 years of experience in Tax experience Preparation and Bookkeeping
-CPA license or EA certification a plus
-Exceptional skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
