Join the AMA team as Graphic Designer in the Enterprise Communications & Marketing unit. As part of the team, you will support other graphic designers and members of the creative and account teams in the execution of various AMA promotional efforts, including but not limited to: print (flyers, brochures, promotional materials, newsletters) and digital (social media graphics, HTML emails and presentations), premiums, event graphics/materials and more.
Other Responsibilities will include:
Supports the design team in the conception, execution and finalizing of designs developed on behalf of AMA business unit partners in support of the AMA mission. Works with design manager/director to ensure designs adhere to brand standards, express desired ideas and represent products/programs/services accurately.
Designs original materials such as flyers, brochures, social media graphics, HTML emails, signage, etc. Determines print specifications, selects images, finalizes design files for print production, transfers files to vendors and reviews proofs.
Collaborate as part of cross-functional team consisting of copywriters, design manager, project leads and production staff to develop new approaches to creating innovative and expressive graphics that support the organization’s core initiatives.
Participate in brainstorming sessions within the creative team as well as with business unit partners providing fresh, thoughtful, creative ideas in an effort to solve business problems. Offer input to group critique sessions, providing feedback on colleagues’ creative in addition to ideas for new work.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts required. Concentration in marketing and/or advertising preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience with graphic design tools.
Conceptual thinker who can develop and execute creative ideas in effective design.
Experience working on team-based projects/ portfolio work (copywriters, photographers, etc.) preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and proficiency in HTML required. Familiarity with MSOffice programs (particularly PowerPoint and Microsoft Word) desirable.
Pre-press and printing knowledge a plus.
Ability to work in changing, fast-paced environment with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Self-starter who is comfortable working on multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented, versatile and creative professional with excellent organizational skills.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
