Summary:
The ME&A Fall Internship Program offers exceptional students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to International Development Operations. It is designed to complement development-oriented studies with practical experience in various aspects of ME&A work. The accounting department is seeking a motivated undergraduate Accounting intern who will support the Finance and Accounting team. This team manages the organization financial activities, including weekly payment requests, procurement, accounting, and accounts payable.

Applicants should have expressed interest in the field of development; ability to adapt to new environments and work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Interns work under the supervision of a staff member at ME&A.

Responsibilities:
Provide support in organizing consultative meetings and special events;
Managing daily mail for the department
Maintaining, Creating, and organizing files
Analyzing credit card expenses, assist with billing, expense reimbursement, accounts payable, and cost proposals.
Assisting the accounting team with clerical, and audit preparation
Assist in preparation of logistical arrangements for all meetings and special events;
Research, analyze and evaluate documentation on various issues related to management, human resources, budget/finance and administration to assist with the establishment of various processes;
Provide support in new and ongoing projects, including data entry and consolidation, administrative task, summarizing project-related information;
Assist in drafting correspondence using standard templates;
Perform statistical analyses and other data related activities, as required;
Support record-keeping and digitization function;
Perform other related duties, as required.

Qualifications:
Candidates for the internship program are selected on a competitive basis. The profiles of the interns are matched with the needs of the organization. The following qualifications are required for consideration:

Students should be enrolled in an advanced degree program or have recently graduated; Students must have written and spoken proficiency in English
