Supervises Cardiology Lab staff to ensure coordination, efficient use of human resources, and provision of optimal non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics.

Directs clinical assignments to assure performance of diagnostic procedures according to established standards.
Prepares and collaborates with Echo Tech(s) and Cardiology Tech(s) to implement cardiology care plans.
Monitors compliance with AAMC policies and procedures and any applicable governmental and accreditation requirements.
Evaluates appropriateness and effectiveness of technician according to departmental standards.
Participates in evaluation and counseling of employees as requested.
Performs clinical duties of Cardiology staff to reduce the impact of staff shortages or increase as necessary.
Reports progress and data collection to Director - Ancillary Services to ensure the continuation of the process for completion.
Maintains equipment and orders necessary adjunctive supplies.
Schedules appointments according to established procedures to ensure and facilitate prompt testing of both. Maintains activity and usage log as necessary.
Monitors equipment operation to assess adequate performance and trouble shoot malfunctions.
High School graduate.
Three years of experience as Cardiology Technician II and two years of experience in holter scanning and Echocardiography
At least one year of management experience preferred.
RC DS certificate or equivalent training with additional training in Cardiology.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification or must obtain within 90-days from date of hire.

Physical Demands – Heavy
Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
