Eden Senior Care has an incredible opportunity for individuals interested in working in the Nursing home industry! As a Hospitality Aide, you will serve almost as universal workers who will be able to pass water, snacks, and trays and participate in activities with residents. This is a six-week course 75-hour course where you will earn real-world experience at a Nursing home and participate in night classes. Participants could work at any of our Fox Valley facilities; Omro Care Center, Edenbrook Oshkosh, Edenbrook Fond Du Lac, Edenbrook Green Bay, and Whispering Pines, which is located in Ripon.
Please note that all participants must be willing to work Full-time hours and must be COV-19 vaccinated. All applicants will be able to earn their CNA certificate within 90 days or depending on class availability! Upon passing the CNA State Exam, all Hospitality Aides must convert into CNAs.
Job Description
- Provides quality care to Guests in a nourishing environment.
- Provides individualized attention, which encourages each Guest’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
- Carry out assignments required for the Guest’s activities of daily living (ADL’s) which include but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Attends to individual needs of all guests regarding incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication and other needs.
- Provides care that maintains each Guest’s skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears and other damage by changing incontinent Guests, turning, repositioning immobile Guests and by applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas.
- Performs various tasks assigned by the floor nurse, including checking vital signs, weighing Guests, applying creams/ointments, and collecting specimens.
- Must be knowledgeable of individual care plans and support the care planning process by providing supervisors with specific information and observations of the Guest’s needs, andpreferences and report any behavioral changes.
- Assists the Wound Care Nurse as directed.
- Completes medical records documenting care provided and other information in accordance with nursing policies while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained when providing care. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
- Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to the supervisor.
- Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously.
- Assist with new admissions, re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the facility.
- Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
