We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Product Manager to join our Digital Assets team. This role is located in New York City – HYBRID
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Develop and execute product strategy and roadmap to bring compelling digital asset capabilities to clients.
Formulate and define scope and objectives for the product deliverables with thorough understanding of business processes in a specific business domain.
Lead the ideation, design and development of digital assets products focusing on scalability, security and compliance.
Provide guidance on blockchain, DLT capabilities – available internally or in the marketplace – to determine best path forward factoring in feasibility, maturity of solutions, cost, time to market etc.
Serve as Blockchain, DLT solutions expert to build digital asset servicing capabilities in partnership with business teams and technology. This includes designing and delivering pilots.
Evaluate different Blockchain protocols / platforms to explore alternative solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor to deliver blockchain based solutions.
Maintain familiarity with industry best practices and seek opportunities to implement as appropriate.
Resolve the most complex issues or inquiries from senior-level or key individuals at clients, as needed.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Advanced Degree in Math, Science / Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
10 plus years of experience working in one or more of the following areas - structured finance, securitization, payments, collateral.
4 plus years of experience developing products in blockchain/DLT and related technologies with strong understanding of token standards, and benefits of asset tokenization.
Demonstrated deep technical understanding of leading blockchain protocols, strengths and gaps.
Proven experience in product design and development with deep technical aptitude in developing new products.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams comprising product managers, designers, and engineers.
Experience working with fin-techs / start-ups in the blockchain / DLT space a plus
Entrepreneurial and results oriented.
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to accomplish goals through others, including employees, peers, and other function/business areas of the company.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $147,000 and $273,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
