The Data Network team is responsible for providing innovated and industry proven software defined networking solutions in the private and public cloud space for Liberty Mutual. Our goal is to leverage best in class software defined network products and services combined with Cloud offerings to create an automated and orchestrated world class infrastructure.

Within the team, the Principal Infrastructure Developer acts as the principal designer for major data network systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. Acts as an expert technical resource to networking staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new cloud network solutions that enable the functional business units to meet their strategic objectives.

We’re looking for a motivated individual that has a DevOps mindset with a foundation of coding skills including python, JAVA, Linux and knowledge in CI/CD pipelines. This individual will need to have knowledge in DNS architecture and design as well as knowledge and experience in network and voice technologies including TCP/IP, Routing (BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF), SIP, Cisco CUBE, load balancers, and network security products. A qualified individual will have a comprehensive understanding of designing complex network solution including WAN, Cloud and Data Center solutions at an enterprise level. Enhanced skills in go forward technologies including NFV, SDN, SDWAN are essential needs in our team. Innovative and creative thinking is a must.

Desired Experience:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Generally 8+ years of professional experience.

Highly proficient in software engineering languages and tools.

Ability to develop on multiple platforms.

Experience in AWS Networking.

Responsible for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

Experience in SDN with experience using VMWare NSX, Cisco ACI.

Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.

Experience in network infrastructure and concepts (VPNs, routing protocols, TCP/IP, IPv4 and v6, VXLAN, OSI layers, etc.)

Knowledge in layered systems architectures solutions and designs and shared software concepts.

Strong scripting skills required: Python, JAVA, PERL, etc.

Experience with automation and orchestration tools including Ansible, Kubernetes

Cloud knowledge, experience and certifications in AWS and Azure

CCNP or higher Cisco certification

Experience in Cisco technologies, including Nexus, Catalyst, CUBE

Experience working in an Agile, Scrum and DevOps work environments

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
