The P093 Antenna and Electronics (A&E) Common Products IPT Lead is responsible for leading the technology maturation and product development required for insertion into a next-generation payload, supporting the AMP Primary mission. The A&E Common Products IPT Lead ensures integration and collaboration across AMP program management, the A&E IPT, NGAS functions, and customer stakeholders to guide the payload development activities, spanning from technology maturation, qualification, conceptual design, and detailed design, to manufacturing and test.

The A&E Common Products IPT Lead must be able to drive execution, develop talent and build strong teams, lead change, and solve complex technical problems.

The A&E Common Products IPT Lead will report directly to the A&E IPT Director & Deputy,and is responsible for helping the IPT:

  • Establish and execute the A&E schedule and technical baselines to design, build, integrate and deliver flight hardware. A&E is fully incorporated into the AMP program management, control and metrics processes.
  • Identify, develop, and manage suppliers.
  • Manage key design and architecture trades, balancing cost, schedule and technical risks.
  • Identify and realize opportunities to reduce cost, improve processes
  • Support strategy development for future insertions
  • Meet all security, organizational conflict of interest, export control, protection of proprietary information, and risk and opportunity management processes
  • Closely coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders:
o AMP Program Office, peer AMP IPT Managers, and AMP support organizations (Business Development, Security, ITSolutions, Legal)

o Other Space Systems Division business area and NGAS functional area counterparts, Engineering/etc.

o Senior level customers, technical advisors, and subject matter experts

o Suppliers' executives, program managers and counterparts

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM degree from an accredited institution and 7 years of experience in electronics

Strong program technical leadership skills

Experience leading a high performance technical team

Demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones

Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:

Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years
OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
OR Dept of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred

Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization

Experience in technology development and maturation, in various Technology Readiness Level (TRL) phases, and qualifying products for space applications.

CAM Experience

Broad knowledge of end-to-end program lifecycle

Technical breadth in disciplines of Antennas, RF electronics, and Microelectronics

Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team

Ability to leverage experience/background to bring alternative ideas/solutions to the team
