Global Data Sciences – Sales team works with PayPal’s Sales and Partner Business to help with their sales goals by tapping into the power of data and data sciences. GDS – Sales enables both internal and external business to leverage insights through their Data products and solutions.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities :
Product Ownership: Responsible for one or more highly complex product/project delivery. With minimal guidance, develops a product strategy for the specific area and leads project execution. Represents their product to customers and to peers across PayPal and is seen as a critical stakeholder for feedback on new feature ideas. Data Area Owner: Go to person for their product's feature, design and domain details. Ability to present information about their product to stakeholders and senior management. Requirements: Engage with internal or external customers for requirements. Ability to capture, document and present requirements without any assistance. Problem Solving: Understand and provide inputs for the trade-offs in launching the feature. Successfully able to collaborate to resolve deadlocks and present feasible solutions. Ability to drive an agreement on a solution and its adoption. Technical Expertise: Facilitate technical discussion for their product and provide feedback and inputs in the technical and architectural design. Ability to review the tech specs and architectural design docs. Negotiation: Manage the expectation of internal and external customer by effectively prioritizing resources, work and negotiating product/project needs. Innovation: Lead the team to ideate, do POC and implement change to bring innovation in their product, grooming new technologies and presenting them to management Job Requirements: 8+ years professional related experience or Master’s Degree and 6+ years 4 + Years of ETL development / BI solutions background and experience working in data warehousing and building data products. Conducts data analysis that is complex and requires input from multiple sources. Demonstrated track record of developing creative solutions in product, process that delivered business results. Experience in building platform and data solutions, defining services and applications Strong attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications – list ideal qualifications beyond the mandatory qualification/s Knowledge Business Acumen – Good understanding of PayPal products, business process, business acumen, business domain understandings. Ability to identify dependencies and risks within their domain. Being Data Domain expertise - Building Insights (knowledge) to Functional business area associations among data, various PayPal systems and business processes, business rules/logics, data flows, data usages Being the data process expertise - Knowledge (expertise) on EDS data products, analytical and operational data environment including tools, technologies, processes, Info-Security requirements. Analytics: Good in Analytics throughout product lifecycle – documentation, communication and systems Engagement and Communication: Ability to engage with Business users and understand their needs. Communication with Business – own the communication channel with business area.
