Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manages patient care for the clinic
  • Oversees clinical services
  • Responsible for all clinic operations
  • Responsible for the quality and content of patient records
  • Ensures that the quality and content of patient records meet the standards of governmental and regulatory agencies
  • Assigns patients to specific staff for treatment and counseling
  • Understands all aspects of patient care and substance abuse counseling
  • Provides staff training and development
  • Disseminates policy and procedure information in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Monitors the completion of patient care tasks and identify delinquencies i.e. urine collection system, evaluation of counselor worksheets, physical exam scheduling and follow-up
  • Conducts and documents individual counselor supervision meetings
  • Assists with maintaining staff accruals and submits payroll
  • Participates in disciplinary process
  • Assists clinic manager in performance evaluation of staff
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree - Minimum of three years paid counseling experience in the health care, social work, or addiction services field or a master’s degree in public health, social work, behavioral sciences or administration and one year paid counseling experience in health care social work or addiction services or equivalent experience in addiction services specifically in an Outpatient Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program.
