King County Department of Information Technology (KCIT) is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused HR Professional to join our team. Under the direction of senior HR staff, this position will focus on recruiting and recruitment coordinating, in addition to a wide range of HR support to the department's 475+ employees. Our ideal candidate will have a strong HR and recruiting/coordinating background, with excellent process management and planning skills. They will have innovative ideas to enhance and support the full cycle recruitment process and quality/diversity of applicant pools to help KCIT identify top talent.

The normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
This position is estimated for a duration of 3 years.

Create/Repurpose/Manage positions and hires in PeopleSoft
Create/manage requisitions in our applicant tracking system Neogov
Create/Modify/Move recruitment records in accordance with the retention guidelines
Build personnel file
Develop and manage effective full cycle recruitment processes; developing recruitment strategies and preparing the examination and selection processes including writing job descriptions, developing interview questions and rating tools, conducting initial applicant screening, coordinating the work of interview panels, offers and any other aspects of the selection/hiring process while adhering to King County policies and code
Source applicants through on-line social media and community contacts in order to support systems to build a pipeline of competitive talent
Generate diverse competitive applicant pools in support of Equity and Social Justice Goals
Manage the Background Check/Badge Access process
Manage the onboarding process for all new KCIT hires
Perform a variety of other duties as assigned from metrics/reports, PeopleSoft entries, employee relations issues, back benefits calculations, audits, union correspondence
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Prior experience managing/supporting full-cycle recruitment processes OR any combination of education and experience necessary to perform the scope of job duties
Have a genuine collaborative and consultative style in their approach to their work
Build and understand the importance of effective relationships with customers, team members, and other staff
Have excellent interpersonal skills
Be comfortable providing advice and creative consultation to hiring managers
Can prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Have effective communication skills using tact and diplomacy in all situations
Are excited and dedicated to working with a dynamic team and will pitch in where needed
Are skilled and comfortable using and Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, and the ability to use an applicant tracking system and PeopleSoft
Demonstrated experience using technology to more effectively complete work assignments and enhance workflow
