Global Security and Investigations (GS&I) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, Security guard management and alarm response, crisis management, ATM, branch and corporate building security and customer safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety, executive protection, due diligence, pre-employment screening, security operations globally, fraud Investigations and cyber security.

The Open Source Threat Assessment Specialist will report to the Multi-vector Threat Program Manager. The primary role of this position is to support the Multi-vector Threat Management team by providing reports on persons of concern utilizing open source materials. This will require the use of tools and applications to uncover criminal history, social media history, and other sources of information on a regular basis.

Scope:
Proactively monitor open source to identify potential threats to the firm
Liaison with JPMC Social Media Team to provide direction on concerns expressed via social media
Act as conduit between Multi-vector Threat Team and JPMC Social Media Team
Continuously monitor persons of high concern as identified by the Multi-Vector Threat Team
Collect statistics related to all potential threats to JPMC
Provide reports for trend analysis, and management review

2+ years’ experience in an open source intelligence gathering role
BS Degree or equivalent years of relevant experience preferred
Proficiency in social media research and investigations
Proficiency in MS office suite
Ability to think quickly, and make decisions while under pressure
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Available to travel 10%
Able to work extended hours to include nights and weekends as needed
