The Finance Manager will report to our Senior Vice President of Finance overseeing projects related to finances for the brands associated with the New York market, which includes Golin, The Brooklyn Brothers and Virgo Health. This role will provide revenue analysis, client forecasts, contract reviews and working capital management. This role will work as a member of a collaborative team in a very fast-paced environment across both agency management and team members. This role will be expected to provide the highest level of customer service to our internal clients/business leads.

What You’ll Do:
Serve as a key resource for all financial management responsibilities of a client team including operational compliance, revenue recognition, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project and staff management as needed.
Collaborate with the SVP of Finance on client budgets, projections, profitability, staffing needs, etc. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis.
Partner with account leads in Project Planning including developing and maintaining budgets and staffing and utilization plans (including online staffing tool). Proactively identify staffing issues and explore/investigate unexpected results with teams.
Ensure that projects are managed in accordance with contracts and budgets and develop reporting to support tracking for client teams and other client required reporting
Manage client team compliance on finance deliverables through an active schedule and calendar.
Review and analyze monthly fee and expenses detail, provide detailed analysis and key insights on results, projections, and variances.
Supervise or facilitate contracts and management of vendors, where necessary
Oversee/perform account and project reconciliation and analysis (profitability) upon completion of projects or contracts
Oversee month-end close ensuring proper revenue recognition methodologies, journal entries in relation to P&L management.
Maintain financial controls, including working with regional shared service compliance team.
Assist with the Statement of Work process (and MSA, where applicable) in a proactive and timely manner
Act as a catalyst for change by driving results, asking questions and playing a leadership role in finding solutions and adding value to our client partners and agency leaders.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Financial or Business Administration 8-10 years’ experience. Continued growth of responsibilities over that time.
Direct experience and willingness to develop strong collaborative relationships across internal business leads and within the Finance department
Experienced and proven analytical thinker with passion for detail.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and flex with frequently changing priorities.
Ability to develop strong, trusted relationships with client business leads based on delivering thoughtful and accurate financial information.
Strong communicator – verbal and written. Proven ability to lead and mentor team members.
Familiarity with different contract types and financial management implications of each.
