Administrative Assistant II – Student Success Center



Summary Description:

Provides support to students by serving as a source of information concerning instructional processes. Provides administrative support to the success center staff. Conducts day-to-day business transactions and documentation required for the grant program. This is a time limited (3 year renewed annually) grant funded position.

essential job functions

Query, retrieve, and summarize data from databases to support the grant’s assessment, evaluation, planning, and reporting functions.

Provide customer service to students and faculty in the center, including providing assistance with sign in process, computer applications for registration, orientation, financial aid, etc.

Serve as the Student Success Center receptionist, provide information, answer & direct calls, meet & greet students, provide assistance and correspondence to students.

Serve as the purchasing representative for E-Procurement for both Student Success Centers.

Create and maintain marketing, materials to produce brochures and flyers to support the activities of the student success centers.

Utilize the Starfish Case Management system for tracking and evaluating PSE cohort students.

Maintain the archive and storage of institutional documents and historical college data for the course of the 5-year grant.

Coordinate and support activities for students and faculty in the center including providing webinars, workshops, and instructional tutorials.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements

Associate degree with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. Work experience using databases, spreadsheets, and graphical tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel (or other database software). Demonstrated use of effective organizational, technical communication, oral communication, and computer skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities.

Preferred: Minimum qualifications plus a Career Readiness Credential.
