The Receiving Coordinator ensures delivery of excellent service for scrap suppliers and Bluffton's unloading team through fast and accurate processing of incoming receipts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a good working relationship with supply/customer base
  • Enter receipts into GP & ABS systems
  • Review and reconcile receiving discrepancies
  • Accurately create and send out timely receipts for 3rd party scrap
  • Complete settlement reports and communicate to suppliers
  • Ensure old orders are filled before allowing a new order delivered
  • Automatically closes orders when reasonably filled – contact buyer if in doubt
  • Maintain and reconcile toll balances for suppliers and customers
  • Generate weekly fuel surcharge email to carriers
  • Generate end of month pre-bill list for invoices
  • Send sales numbers daily to Production Scheduler (morning)
  • Enter outbound shipment onto Outbound Tracker spreadsheet
  • Rename shipments/email customers
  • Review and reconcile shipment discrepancies
  • Enter Novelis shipments onto report * Provide backup to other in department as needed, cross train on outbound BOL’s
  • Pick tickets and appointment plus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Absolute commitment to an incident-free, safe working environment
  • Experience working in a preferred work place team environment
  • 2-3 years on the job experience with a progressive organization working in administrative or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service attitude is required including active listening, and a passion for customers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Excellent time management skills are required to maintain job performance and incoming receipt pace and constancy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, change-orientated environment with an attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft family and familiar with ERP systems
  • Committed to ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction

Additional Preferred Requirements:

  • Associates degree in related field encouraged

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000.00 to $35,000.00 /year

Experience:

  • Administrative: 1 year (Preferred)
