The Lottery Ticket Sales Representative 1 will be responsible for developing relationships with lottery retailers within an assigned district. These relationships are designed to help nurture sales growth at each retail location.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Monitor and adjust instant ticket price points/product mix to meet market demand
Discuss sales, new product promotions, displays of promotional material and removal of stale product with retailers
Continuously train and update retailers on gaming regulations, lottery policies and procedures
Work with retailers to maintain clean and clutter-free selling areas within their locations
Seek out and recruit new locations to sell traditional lottery games and new on-premises locations for the Keno products
Communicate with players about new games for sale and how to play new games
Keep assigned vehicle clean, organized and properly filled with Point-of-Sale materials and retailer supplies
Qualities a Lottery Ticket Sales Representative 1 must possess include, but are not limited to:
Excellent communication and customer service skills that are beneficial for developing and maintaining long term relationships with retailers
Time management skills
Ability to learn basic equipment troubleshooting
Knowledge of bookkeeping

Position Description is below:
Promotes & services lottery ticket game sales in assigned territory: Responsible for quality management of lottery products & services at the retail agent location (e.g., provides support to retail agent for lottery gaming equipment; assists with merchandising & promotion of lottery products & services; distributes lottery game materials & information; assists with the placement of lottery point of sale support materials (e.g., pursuant to pre-determined lottery merchandising best practices) & negotiates premium space & facings for lottery sales support materials designed to introduce & implement lottery promotions & special events; identifies & responds to district needs & issues & reports same to the appropriate OLC regional office staff; reviews sales data for retail agents within assigned territory & develops & forecasts territory sales & budget information; prepares reports regarding the same; when necessary, may remove unused, closed or slow-moving lottery instant products & redistributes within assigned territory; when necessary, may return lottery products in compliance with predetermined timelines, instant ticket management decisions &/or for inventory removal needs in accordance with management recommendations & procedures.

Responsible for retail agent relations: Manages territory to maximize sales & efficiently service & provide excellent customer relations to assigned retail agents (e.g., develops rapport at assigned retail agent locations with the appropriate decision maker to ensure the retailer's support of lottery products); maintains proper retailer contact information for communication purposes; tracks retail agent status; ensures the on-going education of retail agents on all lottery policies, procedures, rules & regulations; assists retail agents with general bookkeeping issues & settlement agreement procedures; serves as liaison between assigned retail agents & lottery offices; assists retail agents with inventory levels & overall inventory control management; assists with the interpretation of sales reports.

Performs other functions: Develops & supports potential &/or new retail agent locations; keeps current on all lottery policies, procedures, rules & regulations; maintains awareness of lottery products & services; utilizes lottery order pad software & technology as required; attends training & seminars as required to comply with all administrative requirements; performs other duties & works on special projects as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

6 courses or 18 months experience in marketing (e.g., sales management; sales promotion; advertising; consumer behavior & research; retail management); 12 months training or 12 months experience in public relations; 2 courses or 6 months experience in bookkeeping; valid driver's license; demonstrate strength to push, pull or otherwise move up to 35 lbs.

OR: Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
