Scope of Position:
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for a growing manufacturing and warehouse operations within the Manassas facility. You will ensure manufacturing efficiency and drives lowest cost to produce initiatives. We look for you to work in coordination with engineering and other staff functions to achieve plant cost, quality, and service objectives while meeting all safety and environmental requirements.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Meet regulatory requirements and create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Assist in the development of an operating plan aligned with division, business, and manufacturing strategies to meet key performance objectives.
Assure manufacturing capability and performance improvement in support of company strategies.
Provide focus and direction to plant personnel to assure knowledge and support of plant manufacturing priorities and requirements.
Maintain and assure efficient operation of all plant assets and equipment.
Assure growth in talent and capability of the plant operations staff.
Establish relationships within the business, plant staff groups, customers and suppliers.
Champion Lean and other corporate manufacturing initiatives as required.
MEC Strategic Metrics: Lowest Cost Manufacturing, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Inventory Turns (may also measure days of supply, monetary value, etc.), and Gross Margin (GM) & Return on Plant Assets (ROPA)
Business-Level Metrics: Net Profit After Tax (NPAT), Cash Flow, Return on Invested Capital (ROIC), and Total Asset Utilization (TAU)
Plant Metrics: Unit Product Cost and/or Actual Manufacturing Cost (AMC), Product Quality, Service (performance to promise, line fill, schedule compliance, etc.), Safety, Health & Environmental (EHS), Audit Results (Achieving Manufacturing Excellence, Quality Systems, SOX, etc.), Capital Management and Employee Effectiveness & Development.
Required Education/ Years and Area of Experiences:
Bachelor’s degree. Prefer Master’s degree.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, or ISO 9001 work environments.
Obtained at least 5 years of increasing leadership responsibilities in operations or engineering including department supervisory experience.
Experience leading teams in meeting continuous improvement goals, deploying lean and TPM, expanding process capability, and/or work redesign.
Proven track record of developing talent.
We are looking for a professional that has experience in staff or project roles such as Quality, Applications Engineering, Supply Chain, or a cross functional project assignment.
Do you have experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP?
Have you had exposure to global manufacturing and business through work or project assignments?
Prior exposure to and understanding of the corporate network and resources would be beneficial.
