Tabula Rasa HealthCare is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong skills architecting, migrating, and optimizing data across our Medication Risk Management Platform and products. The Data Engineer will support our teams on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our company’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture,
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
Data exploration & wrangling.
Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights.
Work with teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries.
Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our products.
Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Automation of ETL.
Data performance and query optimization, refactoring and migration.
Documentation of data structures across products.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, a quantitative field, or related practical experience.
M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study(preferred)
7+ years of data engineering or similar field.
3+ years of professional data architecting experience.
3+ years of Software programming experience (JS preferred).
Experience in Healthcare Technology (preferred).
Experience in SQ.
Document data store experience; CouchDb (nice to have).
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Experience with Jupyter notebook.
Knowledge of FHIR standards.
Familiarity with ontologies such as SNOMED, RxNorm, LOINC, ICD-10, NDC a plus.
Fast paced environment.
Collaboration across remote sites within the company.
