Design and lay out engineering drawings by AutoCAD, Revit, or other means and draft the design under supervision of more senior staff.
Follow company’s CAD standards.
Apply telecommunication concepts to the design or layout of system. May recommend design solutions related to telephone, data, CATV and audiovisual equipment.
Make assessments of existing field conditions in the facility being built or renovated. Perform field surveys from time to time in order to document existing conditions at various facilities.
Performs CAD functions proficiently in discipline. Produces drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit provided by engineers in the disciplines of telecommunications. May assist with CAD/Revit in other disciplines under the direction of a designer, engineer, or senior engineer.
Responsible for other CAD-related tasks as requested such as set up of new files.
A minimum of one year experience with telephone, data, CATV and audiovisual construction documents, preferably in an architectural, telecom, construction or engineering industry.
Must also have a thorough understanding of the principles of telecom.
Must be proficient in the operation of a computer, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with experience using Microsoft Office products.
RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification is preferred.
