What You’ll Do:
Design, author, and publish IBM technical information in the manner of easy to use, easy to understand, and easy to find. Sometimes you may need to use your programming skills to develop small applications to improve user experience.
Work closely with different IBM functions including product management, design, development, testing, and globalization.
Develop complex, in-depth communications for internal and external audiences and manage projects that involve worldwide teams.
synthesize information from a multitude of resources and pull all relevant information together into a comprehensive deliverable.
Who You Are:
Excellent writing skills; even stronger research skills.
Strong background in and knowledge of technical writing lifecycle
You thrive on teamwork and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, while maintaining an extremely strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Basic knowledge of writing embedded user assistance
Basic knowledge of markup languages, such as DITA
Basic knowledge of creating topic-based information that meets audience requirements
Basic knowledge of Agile or continuous delivery development environment
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Basic knowledge of creating conversational style writing
Basic knowledge of MarkDown, HTML 5
Basic knowledge of Git or GitHub
Basic knowledge documenting APIs
Basic knowledge of programming in any of the following languages: Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, Swift, Go, ObjectiveC, Node
