The Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring quality control and assurance of product via collaborative, analytical and problem solving initiatives between the Shipping department and others. Lead the development and execution of a Quality Program.
Responsibilities of the Quality Coordinator:
Manage quality programs at different manufacturing facilities.
Coordinate and conduct Quality Control inspections, document results, implement corrective, preventive and improvement actions.
Track, monitor and communicate quality KPI’s.
Act as liaison between departments (shipping, sales, credit and claims, production) to ensure ongoing communication and problem solving, including attending team meetings, updating orientation and other presentations as needed.
Ensure controls are in place such that all products conform to all company and industry specifications and standards.
Ensure documentation and maintenance of Corrective/Preventative Action Plans, Customer Complaints, and Vendor Complaints. Responsible for follow up to ensure timely resolution of complaints.
Investigate and provide solutions to internal and external customer quality complaints.
Suggest improvements in procedures and techniques to improve product and customer satisfaction.
Implement training programs for all of the assigned location members to assure quality standards are met.
