Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill therole of Senior Cost Analyst/Asst Controller for our commercial business unit.In this role, the qualified individual will perform a variety of CostAccounting and Financial Reporting duties to ensure that Sales, Cost of Sales,and Inventory are properly accounted for. This role requires a solid understandingof Standard Costing including the development of Direct Labor and Overheadrates, and manufacturing variances. This position reports to the VP of Financefor US Shared Services.

Primary Responsibilities:
Weekly and monthly reporting of Sales, COGS, Booking & Backlog.
Develop Direct Labor and Overhead rates based on the annual plan, and complete an annual standard cost update.
Coordinate and/or assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
Execute inventory transfers in the company's ERP system (Microsoft AX).
Assist Operations Management with financial reporting and analysis to minimize standard cost variance and drive efficiencies.
Produce invoices, progress billings and cost vouchers.
Coordinate the development of annual budgets for direct and indirect costs, and produce periodic reports of actual costs and variances.
Perform various month-end Accounting close activities.
Participate in development of bids and proposals, and review of existing projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or a closely related field.
5+ years of full-time, professional-level employment in accounting, financial reporting & analysis, or a closely related professional-level financial role
Thorough understanding and practice of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Hands on experience developing Direct Labor and Overhead rates.
Ability to work with department Managers on development of department budgets and ongoing review of actuals costs and variances.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment to ensure quality work product is delivered on time.
Ability to present facts and recommendations in a clear, concise, logical manner, orally and in writing.

Not required, but preferred qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business or a closely related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certificate.
