Successful Civil, Structural and Forensic Engineering firm headquartered in Vero Beach with offices within Florida and Texas is seeking qualified candidates as a Forensic Structural Engineer. Specifically, Forensic engineers are responsible for determining how failures occurred. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for on-site inspections, measuring the building and/or roof systems, developing damage assessments, identifying the failure mode, collecting evidence using photographs, video, and testing device readings. Develop an hypotheses using the evidence obtained to establish the underlying failure cause. Develop a conclusion after gathering and researching the available data. Lastly, develop a detailed report outlining the scope of the investigation and the conclusions. The report will include photographs, exhibits and other data necessary to support the report conclusions.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited university with an EI, EIT or PE designation in the United States or equivalent.

Three years of progressive experience in civil or structural engineering and building sciences preferred. Must have a detailed grasp of English in written and oral form, additional language skills a plus.

Lastly, this is an independent salaried position and reports to the Director of Engineering with technical support provided in the various offices.
