We are currently hiring for a Sales Representative for our Bordentown facility to service the greater New York City area. Sales experience is required as well as experience in either distribution or the pipe, valve, and fittings industry. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record as well as a willingness to travel within the targeted sales area. An ideal candidate would have strong verbal and written communication skills, good organizational skills and the ability to demonstrate a solid sales strategy, as well as show ambition and drive. Pay is commensurate with experience. After a waiting period, benefits include medical, dental, 401K, as well as paid sick and vacation time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage assigned geographic territory to maintain and grow existing accounts.
  • Respond to prospective customer inquiries and requests for quotations.
  • Perform business development calls, presentations, and related follow up.
  • Create and implement a business development plan to pioneer into new markets and develop a fresh customer base.
  • Identify new business opportunities within distribution, end user targets, and large industrial projects.
  • Consult with builders on industrial building projects to ensure ideal placement of product.
  • Train end users on C&P’s products and services.
  • Support existing product lines by fielding technical questions from customers.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports and strategies for the week ahead.
  • Become technically proficient in customers’ applications as well as gain knowledge of new uses for existing products.
  • Direct customer interface. Daily and possible overnight travel is required.
