We are actively searching to hire a Business Analyst consultant with excellent soft skills with the ability, but more importantly, the drive to learn and participate in many facets of a software development project.

Your days will be involved as a valued and key team member to an assigned project. Each project starts with a Business Analyst learning the customer’s business, objectives, and goals. This position facilitates workshops, writing user stories (requirements), and working with the development team and test team ensuring the solution is built as expected.

A strong desire to learn, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (preferably Agile software development)
An understanding with some practical experience of business analysis working with stakeholders from all business units to capture requirements
Ability to define and document business processes and software requirements for case management, content management, and business information solutions
Experience in testing. As the BA is required to validate the requirements against the built solution. A flexible attitude to fill in as a tester writing and running test cases as well as supporting user acceptance testing is needed. In addition, junior BA's are sometimes asked to fill in as full-time testers for a period of time writing test cases, running test cases, and supporting user acceptance testing.
Responsibilities: Work under the direction of a Senior Business Analyst or the Director of Business Analysis learning the ‘Armedia Way’ business process of performing business analysis such as:

Rapidly analyzing and modeling the business domain (using Visio) to create a complete picture of the AS-IS and the proposed (TO-BE) solution.
Participating and ultimately facilitating and leading requirements gathering workshops both internally and externally.
Creating functional requirements, process diagrams, and/or use cases/user stories using Armedia best practices.
Participating in requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that process diagrams, requirements, user stories, and wireframes accurately portray specific business needs.
Validating the solution verifying that all user story acceptance criteria have been met.
Will fill in, when needed, performing test work by writing test cases and running test cases for web-based applications.
Providing evidence of staying in alignment and on schedule with the Business Analyst lead or Test lead, Project Manager, business sponsor, stakeholders, and management.
Demonstrating creative thinking/outside-of-the-box on how best to support both internal and external customers.

Experience working with one or more requirements gathering tools such as Contour, CaliberRM, e.g. through which requirements, use-cases, and user stories are tracked, traced, and documented.
Experience working with a test tool such as Contour, e.g.
Excellent command of the English language in both written and verbal
Experience and Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred or analysis related field acceptable
