We currently have a position available for a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Corporate Controller.

Senior Financial Analyst

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION OF JOB

This position supports corporate accounting and financial reporting. The employee will perform professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, reconciliation and analysis of financial data. The employees in this position are expected to learn the necessary duties and work routines to back-up the other Financial Reporting Seniors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist in the preparation of key monthly reconciliations such as sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll & withholding, etc.

Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries and the subsequent preparation and reporting of monthly financial information to local management and parent company.

Assist in the preparation of audit work papers for external auditors, including the annual financial statements for the compilation.

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget; income statement, balance sheet and memo & personnel cost details

Learn the fixed asset system; become the back-up fixed asset processor and assist in periods of heavy transactions.

Learn the inter-company receivables and payables routines. Become the back-up for this monthly function and assist in periods of heavy transactions.

Understand the daily cash sheet prepared by Treasury. Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries to record cash activity.

Learn to prepare the monthly bank reconciliations; concentration and payable accounts. Become the back-up for the reconciliation process to ensure completion on a timely basis after each month end.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Skills/knowledge

Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point. Experience with using an AS400 ERP system and BPCS system experience is helpful. Experience with using Hyperion Software or some similar Financial reporting software.

Experience/education

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance plus 3 to 5 years experience in accounting field.

Physical effort and dexterity
