Jettprep, a very busy tutoring company located in Marlboro, NJ, is looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to Office Manager, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.

Schedule

  • Monday, or Tuesday, through Thursday. No Fridays or weekends
  • Start time is 5/5:30 p.m. until close (9:30 or 10 p.m.)
  • Please note we are open during the summer and start time may be earlier. Summer may require some paid work from home

Responsibilities

  • Liaison between the Office Manager and support staff to ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office
  • Assist with maintaining the daily schedule
  • Create detailed reports and tally tutoring sessions
  • Interact with parents and students by phone, in-person and email
  • Create, manage and maintain Excel spreadsheets on a regular basiis
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
  • Maintain contact lists

Skills

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 5 years (Preferred)
  • data entry: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
