Responsibilities: The Marketing Account Manager (MAM) serves as primary client liaison, point of contact, and project consultant for assigned clients and programs. The MAM is responsible for generating new business and solidifying existing business; is the team leader on all projects; develops overall client marketing strategy; builds strong client relationships; manages assigned product category and understands marketing trends; collaborates with client services in the development and execution of comprehensive vendor marketing plans. The MAM drives to achieve revenue and profit goals by delivering a superior customer experience through advanced marketing strategies.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant additional experience in related field. Experience: Four to six years of marketing/advertising experience, preferably in the high tech computer related environment or in an advertising agency/sales environment. Experience developing and implementing channel marketing programs is desirable. A basic understanding of the distribution channel preferred. (i.e. SAP, Impulse, Oracle, Magellan) Skilled in: Advanced selling, problem solving, project management, interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate with associates internally and externally in an articulate and professional manner. Ability to practices discretion and understand appropriateness of communication and behavior, ability to present to large and small audiences. Ability to: provide leadership and direction to the other team members, demonstrate business and financial acumen, develop strategic marketing plans, track and manage revenue & profit plans, respond to rapid change, manage multiple projects simultaneously, implement recommendations and see projects through to completion, to work both independently and as a team member. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, international travel may be required.
