This position holds responsibility for oversight of human resources activities for 3 facilities, over two states, and a total of 300+ employees. This individual is responsible for managing day-to-day human resources management activities to include: benefits administration, FMLA compliance, workers’ compensation, employee relations, policy development and documentation, employment-related legal affairs, and payroll administration.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to managers and lead communications concerning employee relations issues
  • Create, develop and maintain employment policies, including updating for legal compliance, facilitating communication of policy changes, and ensuring compliance
  • Post open positions to internal and external job boards
  • Complete background screening process, reviewing background screening results, providing guidance concerning criminal acceptance level, and distributing pre-adverse action and adverse action notices whenever necessary
  • Administering FMLA, Workers Comp and ADA processes
  • Complete insurance enrollments including communicating plan details and entering enrollment information into applicable systems, also facilitating annual open enrollment
  • Responsible for oversite and management of the payroll department
  • Complete orientation process with new hires in a classroom setting, ensuring understanding of employment policies
  • Respond to requests from outside agencies, including unemployment agencies, EEOC, and employment verifications
  • Compile monthly reports for tracking purposes
  • Provide support to VP of Finance and President as needed

  • PHR or SPHR preferred
