The Train and Intl Resch Initiative department is currently recruiting for a Temporary Project Assistant to join their team of professionals.
Assists with activities for the 2018 FIU Mandela Washington Fellowship Program, part of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).
Accompanies Fellows on training site visits, cultural outings, and other events.
Assists with disseminating supplies and other materials to Fellows.
Assists with organizing resource materials and programming for Fellows.
Assists with other areas related to housing and event planning.
Assists with other areas of programming.
M-F: 830am – 5pm; Sat & Sun (varies)
15-20 hours per week
Varied Schedule, hourly position, must be able to work some early mornings, evenings and weekends and holidays.
As a temporary employee, you will not be eligible to participate in all employee benefit programs (e.g., paid leave, retirement, or tuition reimbursement).
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), a temporary employee who works on average 30 hours or more per week may be eligible to enroll in health care benefits.
