Overview of Position
The Data Exchange Quality Assurance Analyst , under supervision of the Manager of Data Exchange Operations, is responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of all components of the Data Exchange platform. As a technical analyst within the Data Engineering organization, a primary focus of the position is ensuring the quality of the data that enters the organization, as well as the processes that are used to handle the data.
This position will be overseeing and/or participating in all aspects of project testing, business requirements analysis, data analysis, testing strategy, test case creation, test case execution, logging defects, and production of metrics around the status of release testing. This position will be required to understand the operational process flow for the data exchange platform to work with other team members to prepare for testing during the release cycle, as well as the impact to other downstream applications.
Review, test, and provide signoff for all changes planned for any release
Document testing plans and test results for all changes
Create test cases as needed for use in testing
Maintain a set of scripted tests and test cases for general regression testing
Provide support to team members regarding current/correct functionality of the data exchange platform and to identify defects
General analysis of customer data sets, including census, eligibility, and claims data
Review and validate application configuration and data mappings during implementation of new customers
4+ years of experience in quality assurance is required
4+ years of experience in data validation, data quality, or data analysis is required
4+ years of experience with MS SQL and related tools is required
1-3 years of experience with health care data is required
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills is required
An ability to produce effective software test plans and test cases is required
An ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments to meet deadlines is required
Strong knowledge of SDLC processes is required
Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and related tools is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
An ability to work effectively with all levels of team members is required, including both technical and non-technical staff, and both internal and external customers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related tools is required.
