Tampa General Hospital offers a full range of women’s health and pediatric services. This division includes: the ante-post partum unit, labor & delivery, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Medical-Surgical Unit, Pediatric Dialysis, Pediatric Day Hospital, and the Transition Nursery. TGH has been named a high performing hospital in gynecology by U.S. News & World Report.
Collects data via Labor and Delivery log, patient charts and patient interviews; compiles that information for the processing of birth certificates via the Office of Vital Statistics; notarizes Birth Certificates, as necessary; orders and dispenses car seats, supplies, etc., as necessary. Initiates the process to obtain social security numbers for the babies, if desired by the parents. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the values of Tampa General Hospital, and the requirements for the State of Florida and the Office of Vital Statistics. High school diploma or GED; Notary Public preferred; Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred. Hospital experience preferred.
