This role will be primarily responsible for serving as a senior program analyst for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This position will support the federal government client with technical program management and stakeholder engagement support for border infrastructure and technology initiatives across the southern and northern border.
The position is remote, with the expectation of attending in-person meetings and events as required. There may be opportunities to travel throughout the United States.
Salary Range: $100,000 to $135,000 based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:
- Perform geographic information system activities; requirements analysis and development; support field activities; and ancillary activities
- Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications
- Supports the creation and maintenance of GIS products both printed and web-based solutions
- Perform complex analysis and mapping projects to support border security projects
- Communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing
- Compile and enter various types of data into GIS databases and other systems
- Work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi-layered maps accomplished by using an appropriate combination of tools found in the GIS application suite and other programming environments
- Support program and planning reporting requirements by developing storymaps, updating SharePoint, PowerBI, and other tools and informational databases.
- Coordinate ad hoc and routine meetings with various internal and external stakeholders as it relates to the National Environmental Policy Act and Real Estate acquisition activities
- Help update and develop materials such as but not limited to talking points, presentations, StoryMaps, and other materials as needed
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned
Avid Core:

- Train staff on technical subject matter expertise
- Supervise staff as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:
- 10+ years of experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and multitask
- Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
- Experience with WebEx, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms

Education:
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Location and Expectations:
This is a remote position with occasional travel to meet with stakeholders.
