SUMMARY
Hulu’s Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Distribution & Marketing who will be an exceptional addition to our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, Distribution & Marketing at Hulu, you will be a key day-to-day partner for our Distribution & Marketing teams. You will play an integral role in helping Hulu grow its subscriber base by evaluating distribution deals and marketing promotions. The right person for this role has exceptional analytical abilities, is an outstanding communicator, sets a high bar for him/herself, and has a track record of success when partnering with business groups. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Partner closely with the marketing and distribution teams to evaluate potential partnerships and promotions, building subscriber and financial projections to quantify opportunities. Prior transaction analysis includes Spotify and Sprint partnership deals.
Act as a key thought partner to our distribution and marketing teams, providing strategic input based on data-driven analyses. Own deal analyses end-to-end: define the opportunity, develop a hypothesis, structure the analysis, collect the necessary data, and communicate findings succinctly and thoughtfully
Support our expansion with existing and new wholesale distribution partners, including analytical initiatives such as go-to-market offerings for existing business, deal term options for new wholesale partners, and organic-non organic partner assessments
Prepare presentations for senior management and internal partners, provide analyses and recommendations to assist with strategic decision-making
Create and manage reporting on current partnerships, providing performance tracking and KPIs to drive additional partner insight
WHAT TO BRING
3 - 5 years of professional experience with demonstrated success in the key responsibilities for this role
BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, or similar discipline with an analytical bias
Highly competent with MS Excel deal modeling and quantitative data analysis
Proven critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills. Ability to translate deal proposals into deal model/financial output to drive decisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with and present to senior management
NICE-TO-HAVES
Experience with emerging, high-growth companies in the entertainment, media, or technology space
Knowledge of or experience working in a subscription business model
Experience with promotional pricing strategy
