Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator assists in the development and implementation of the credit union’s advertising, marketing, and communications programs regarding its financial products, services, and community support.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will build brand awareness, increase sales and ensure clear, trustworthy communications regarding a variety of matters.

Media and Advertising:
Assist in the development of all strategic and tactical marketing initiatives and plans.

Create and implement marketing/media plans that include print, digital, and events.

Concept and write branded advertising campaigns, articles, and other content and collateral.

Coordinate the development, production, and distribution of communications with outside vendors, such as print and mail houses.

Manage internal projects with outsourced vendors.

Communicate advertisements and communications to appropriate media including digital venues.

Maintain and strengthen the credit union’s overall brand in all forms of media (print, events, digital, advertorials).

Organize and streamline product and service offerings into staff- and member-friendly concepts.

Manage printers and other promotional vendors.

Manage marketing collateral library and branded applications templates.

Use reporting provided by Marketing Analyst and vendors to review web analytics and ad words campaigns on an ongoing basis; research and suggest adjustments as needed.

Assist in the optimization of performance indicators for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in support of Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Assist in the optimization of performance indicators for Social Media Optimization in support of Social Media Marketing (SMM) strategies in partnership with the Communications Marketing Coordinator.

Work with Marketing Analyst on gathering appropriate lists to provide targeted messages with Online Banking and Harborstone’s mobile app.

Coordinate and organize all event arrangements (ensuring event staff have necessary items for a successful event).

Assist in the development, execution, and advertisement of corporate and community events as necessary (Annual Meeting, Charity, Community, etc.).

Public Relations:
Solicit editors of targeted publications for editorial opportunities and negotiate programs.

Create and execute publicity campaigns and press releases in partnership with PR vendor.

May assist in the development and management of social media initiatives that improve community size and engagement.

Required Skills
Frequent local travel may be required.

Must possess valid driver's license.

Attendance may be required before/after regular business hours at various events.

Knowledge of email marketing and social media best practices.

Expert knowledge of SEM/paid search, SEO, digital display ads, social media ads, content creation and social media advertising tactics.

Google AdWords and Google Analytics experience.

Ability to adapt to new technology and digital delivery channels.

Strong leadership, initiative, planning skills and attention to detail; must be able to work independently. Efficiently work under pressure to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks.

Ability to work with diverse personalities.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to utilize individual and group instructional techniques.

Must be able to effectively read, write, and listen, as well as communicate verbally, electronically, and in written form with employees, members, board members, vendors, and the general public as required.

May be asked to handle, move, and/or carry large boxes of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

May require stooping, bending, squatting and reaching for limited periods of time.

May require sitting and standing for long periods of time.

Required Experience

Post–secondary degree, preferable in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Two-years of digital marketing experience including pay-per-click, SEM, SEO, email marketing, and social media advertising. Prior experience implementing aspects of advertising and marketing programs preferred. Demonstration of strong writing skills a plus.

Must complete Bank Secrecy Act certification program within one year of hire date.
