Seeking Host Home Families / Professional Parents who provide care in their own homes to individuals with disabilities. Most placements will be 365 days of enjoyment each year. Many clients have daytime placements, but in rare cases some will need 24 hours of care.
North Eastern Services provides individuals with intellectual, physical and/or developmental disabilities residential and employment services. Single placements are known as Host Homes / Professional Parents to emulate a family like environment. These placements are intended to encourage them to participate in the everyday activities of family and community life. (Host Homes function similarly to foster care homes.)
Host Home Families are independent contractors who provide care in their own homes to the people they support. Depending on the individual’s needs, Families will teach and assist individuals with daily living skills such as: medical appointments, personal hygiene, community activities, safety skills, shopping, meal planning and preparation, and more.
A successful Host Home placement acts as a role model and teacher. Providers must be caring, honest, patient, and mission driven. Excellent listening and communication skills advocate for and encourage individuals to continually improve.
Host Home Families providing a loving placement will be compensated $2000 per month or more.
North Eastern Services offers all required training's at no expense.
