Key Role:
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)'s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an Interface Oversight Programmatic Lead for a subset of all interfaces supporting OEHRM implementation. Act as the highest- level programmatic expert, addressing problems of risk, schedule, and process. Work as the lead risk manager for all interface work being conducted by multiple parties. Oversee schedule development, integration and updates. Serve as single point of contact for all interface work being conducted by the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Serve as programmatic integrator between interfaces and all other Technology Integration Office (TIO) and OIT areas, including data management, Cybersecurity, and testing.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience with managing both large and small diverse IT projects
  • Experience with the software development life cycle, project management methodologies, enterprise wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, and structure and management practices
  • Experience with tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
  • Experience with managing IT projects

  • Ability to to identify and mitigate risks by developing appropriate plans
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline and 15+ years of experience is required. An additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with the VA preferred
  • Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records preferred
