Ameriprise – East Hartford, CT - A fast-paced Private Wealth Financial Advisory Practice of Ameriprise is seeking a fulltime administrative assistant. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to advisors and staff, including but not limited to the following:

Welcoming clients, answering phones, scheduling and managing complex practice calendars

*
Supporting marketing activities, events, social media and website updates

*
Processing paperwork, preparing data requests, and basic meeting materials

*
Client service by phone, email and in person

*
Maintaining office appearance and orderliness, maintaining and ordering supplies

*
Logging mail and check scanning

*
Filing, printing, scanning, faxing, sending of confidential files and records

*
Supporting client service and financial planning departments with special projects and other administrative support as required

Qualifications:
*
2+ years of similar work experience, preferably in the financial services industry, and a desire to grow and learn in the industry

*
Bachelor's degree or Associates preferred

*
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook

*
Qualified candidates must be professional in demeanor and appearance, have excellent written and oral communication skills

*
Candidates must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong problem solving, critical thinking, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills

*
Must be self-motivated, outgoing and personable as well as dependable

*
A positive attitude, flexibility in daily activities and an ability to work independently or collaboratively are a must

Hourly rate $18-$20/hr
