Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking a mail room clerk for our new office. We're looking for hardworking, dedicated people to work in a busy mail room. Candidates should be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and hardworking. In this role you will operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters, mail sorting machines, scanners, printers, and labeling machines. The position will entail heavy First Class & Certified Mailing production and detailed record keeping for accounting purposes. Candidate must be adaptable and be able maintain a constant flow of production.
Processing and preparing incoming and outgoing mail
Upkeep of office
Correspondence with merchants
Maintain supply inventory
Strong organizational and clerical skills
Basic computer skills
Familiarity with the postal system.
Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
Tenacity to be able to work efficiently under strict deadlines
The ability to lift heavy items and transport and/or guide up to 50 pounds of material on a cart
Strong Leadership capabilities
Ability to determine areas of weakness and find creative solutions to improve efficiency
Flexible, adaptable, and accountable
Experience in a Law Firm or similar high-volume mailing operation preferred
