Electrical Engineers at Solidia Technologies, working with a team of Scientists, Process Engineers and Technicians, are responsible for the successful design and fabrication of the electrical components of our concrete curing process.
Program and troubleshoot PLC's.
Use RS Logix 5000
Design and build control boxes and temperature controls.
Instrumentation experience including pressure, temperature, humidity
Design and build process control, relays, motors, VFDs, etc.
Design Low voltage wiring systems.
Manage projects that combine or modify materials in different ways to improve the performance, durability and cost-effectiveness of processes and products.
Document electrical/mechanical designs in comprehensive, well-written project reports.
Make creative and innovative recommendations for client solutions based on observations, data, and knowledge.
Identify other areas for opportunity and propose projects aligned with company goals
Comply with Health, Safety, & Environmental policies and procedures
Additional assignments as needed
Job is performed in both an office and an plant environment.
Incumbent must have the physical ability to:
Sit; Stand; Walk; Lift up to 25 lbs.; communicate through both verbal and written means; fine motor skills to operate a computer.
Bachelor degree in a scientific field such as: Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering; Masters preferred
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects
Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
Critical thinking, logical planning, and the ability to draw conclusions from data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write project reports and correspondence, and to speak effectively before small groups and with clients
Ability to plan and prioritize work load to achieve pre-determined goals
Ability to work independently
Prior experience in a product development/R&D environment preferred
Knowledge of concrete and cement is a plus
Ability to create, read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Some travel (approximately 10 - 25%) may be required
