The HT Group is partnering together with a non-profit organization that is headquartered in South Austin. They employee over 1,400 people across the US and provide support services to hospitals, military bases, and private-sector clients. They are looking for a Sr HR Manager/Asssistant Director of HR to join their team and manage 4 HR Business Partners as well as EEOC and Performance Reviews. You will report to the Director Of Human Resources.

Job Summary:
  • Oversee and manage 4 Human Resources Business Partners as well as provide departmental consulting and relationships by ensuring that proper advice and mediation occur
  • Serves as back-up and the liaison to the Director of Human Resources
  • Oversee adherence to EEOC and affirmative action program and diversity goals set by the organization and responds to all EEOC and/or NLRB charges
  • Responsible for oversight of investigations and various other personnel-related issues from discrimination, by arranging and scheduling interviews of affected parties and witnesses and reporting findings to the Management team
  • Manage labor relations by developing a relationship with union representatives and communicating organizational decisions. Will investigate and prepare responses for grievances and actively participate in resolving issues
  • Provides oversight for performance management and development programs for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR
  • Analyzes data from reports to determine future programs, tools, and process changes
  • Plans, develops and conducts training, professional development events and employee team sessions
  • Plan, develop, interpret, recommend and administers human resources policies and procedures to guide all phases of human resources administration
  • Provides input to HR budget, as well as monitors, estimates, and plans for future needs
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • SPHR Certified Preferred
  • Must have at least 8-10 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Human Resources leadership role (managing HRBP and Generalists)
  • Multi-state Union experience STRONGLY preferred
  • Must have significant employee relations experience at a decision-making level, including experience conducting investigations, managing the coaching and counseling and handling grievances
  • Must have a well-rounded Human Resources background with solid experience in employee relations, benefits, training, safety, liability avoidance and compliance
  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ability to coach, counsel, advise, mentor and motivate associates and managers at all levels
