Implement and execute the marketing plan both from a business, sales, advertising and technical perspective. Initiate and execute special events, promotions, press opportunities, and writes all press releases.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Help develop a tactical and practical advertising plan to local media and adhere to the marketing budget. 2.Research and develop new marketing areas and ideas with the ultimate goal of increased revenue and profitability. 3.Coordinate the implementation of marketing policies, procedures and programs. 4.Communicate programs to internal and external customers as appropriate. 5.Implement strategic and tactical marketing plan for Public Relations. 6.Knowledgeable of and ensures compliance with Kiowa Casino and Tribal gaming rules and regulations within areas of responsibility. 7.Promote positive public and Team Member relations at all times. 8.Distribute promotional materials throughout casino and local area. 9.Arrange the printing of promotional materials. 10.Responsible for all media copy and grammar. 11.Handle special assignments from Director of Marketing. 12.Maintain an annual schedule of special events as directed by the Director of Marketing. 13.Disseminate information regarding all upcoming events and promotions to the team member population so that they equipped to address customer concerns and promote Kiowa Casino experience. 14.Coordinate with all of Marketing to ensure proper execution of events, promotions procedures, etc. 15.Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Kiowa Casino and of the Marketing department.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
Knowledge and Certification Required: •High School Diploma or GED •At least 21 years of age •Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field and 2 years experience in advertising and public relations marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience •2 years previous copywriting experience •Experience working with the media, public officials and various community representatives Preferred: •Knowledge of Casino and Tribal gaming regulations to ensure compliance in appropriate areas of responsibility Skills Required: •Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency) Strong project management skills •Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities •Excellent written communication skills including creative writing and press releases •Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills •Accurate and detail-oriented •Excellent problem solving skills •Excellent skills in marketing research •Skills necessary to comply with budgets and meet or exceed forecasts Abilities Required: •Displays leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external customers •Must be able to manage departmental budget and control labor and expenses •Ability to maintain high confidentiality •Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner •Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
Physical Demands / Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to communicate using written, oral and computer methods. Must be able to operate computer equipment (for extended periods of time). Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods in excess of 8 hours. Must be able to walk, sit, and/or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to travel and work in various locations when and where a special meeting, presentations, deadlines, trade shows, community activities or networking events are held. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
