Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a Flexible Substitute Worker (0-40 hrs/wk) Crisis Specialist at our Leominster site.
The Communications and Triage Department serves over 30 cities and towns in Central Massachusetts, providing 24/7 intervention to individuals of all ages facing acute behavioral health and substances abuse crises. Crisis Specialists work with clients and community partners, providing telephonic intervention, verbal de-escalation, and assistance in finding a variety of resources to address each individual’s needs. They engage in collaborative work with clients, family members, Master’s-Level Clinicians, hospitals, schools, police departments, insurance companies, and various other community entities to ensure client’s most acute needs are met as quickly as possible. Crisis Specialists work in an exciting and fast-paced environment as critical members of the Emergency Services Program.”

Provide coordination of all telecommunications for the Emergency Services in providing telephonic support to individuals in crisis and assess the need for clinical intervention in a high volume call center.
Provide administrative support to clinicians engaged in short term crisis intervention.
Appropriately prioritize active cases, assessing the potential risk to the clinician, coordinate internal and external resources.
Assist clinicians in the office with client services, triage, and screening.
Provide referrals and/or placement to multiple levels of care.

Grade 6: Crisis Specialist: Requires a Bachelor’s degree; preferably in the field of psychology or human services
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the field
Treatment experience with individuals in a mental health setting preferred
Experience in providing treatment to those in crisis and abusing substances is highly desired
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask handling multiple pieces of data.
Strong telephone skills require
