The primary objective of the Regional Product Strategy Associate is to assist in conducting research to support new product development, identify product gaps and opportunities, provide industry and competitor research, and analyze pricing strategies within the US Retail and Institutional markets.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Regional Product Strategy Associate?
Product Research & Development
Collects and analyzes information from relevant sources, enabling market, regulatory, industry, competitor, and investment trends to be identified.
With guidance, provides research and analytical support to identify product opportunities.
Product Strategy
Under direction, captures recommendations for product ideas within specific channels or areas.
Assists in documenting investment strategy, objectives, risk profile, pricing, and product features.
With guidance, completes Global Product Committee (GPC) proposal documentation, including capturing product attributes and key features (investment goal and strategy, benchmarks, pricing, etc.) for new products and mandates.
Client Engagement & Partnership
Solicits, gathers, and summarizes feedback from distribution teams on proposed product changes.
Undertakes research and analysis to assist in determining expected client demand for product changes or launches.
Supports drafting presentations and training materials for an internal audience.
Provides support to distribution teams and researches and provides answers to questions related to product development lifecycle (e.g., timing of product changes, launches, mergers, and closures). Defers complex queries to senior colleagues.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
0-2 years related experience
Experience with Python, SQL, Tableau desired
Strong knowledge of industry data (eVestment, Morningstar. Lipper, Simfund etc)
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
