Salary Range: $47,781 - $103,819

Detailed Description
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Provides intentional coaching to assigned teachers;
Assists with lesson planning, development of instructional materials, and implementation of curriculum, assessments, and professional development;
Encourages schools to utilize data to make sound decisions for students and to differentiate instruction;
Provides modeling and strategies for optimum teaching delivery and student results;
Addresses effective learning by utilizing universal design for learning, differentiated instruction, response to intervention and positive behavioral interventions and supports;
Attends and actively participates in staff meetings;
Attends school-based planning sessions and team meetings;
Confers with school instructional team (SIT)/multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to address academic and/or behavioral concerns;
Maintains required documentation and follows required procedures and practices;
Improves skills and knowledge base in current trends, research and methodology in instructional techniques, technology, multicultural content, problem solving and interdisciplinary connections;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Broad knowledge of early childhood pedagogy;
Knowledge of school organization, goals and objectives, curriculum, teaching techniques, current trends, research, and materials of instruction in field of specialization;
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process;
Ability to provide instructions that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education;
Ability to infuse technology into curriculum;
Good knowledge and understanding of the teaching/learning process;
Ability to work effectively with administration, colleagues, central office staff, students, parents and community; and
Excellent oral and communication skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) in applicable field of education from a regionally accredited college or university and minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience teaching early childhood and planning curriculum; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A Professional Certificate (Advanced Professional Certificate preferred) appropriate to area of assignment issued by the Maryland State Department of Education.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs.
