A little about us and who and what we’re looking for:
We are currently hiring for two positions:
The GM of Niagara Bar/Lovers of Today/96 Tears. Three bars, operating in the same building , since 1997 (96 tears, being the newest addition)
The GM of The Bowery Electric. A Two level small sized live music venue and bar, with club nights on the weekends.
The ideal candidate knows and loves downtown NYC culture, music, and night life, has been around to see and experience its continued evolution, and wants to be a part of the next chapter.
YOU ARE
- a self starter and NYC night life enthusiast w/ previous general management in bars/music venues/night life
- You enjoy motivating and leading a FOH team
-you have been a bartender at some point in your life and so can identify great bartenders and proper work habits and conduct behind the bar
-You’re a great communicator and are independent enough to know how to run a bar and FOH staff , and take the appropriate steps to do so, while still working in collaboration with the owners to execute their vision.
-Experience with inventory, payroll, ordering, and back end of POS systems a must.
-Passion for hospitality and night life a must
-Must be comfortable with and into working late nights (we stay open until 4am)
