The Sr Analyst , Finance – Direct Procurement serves as the voice of finance in the decision making process as it relates to quarterly/annual reviews, monthly close process (including analysis and reporting), development of the strategic plan. The position is key to drive behavior in Procurement to pursue strategic pricing and better negotiations and will focus in subset of Direct Procurement (CoPack, Ingredients or Packaging). In addition, the position interacts with the Operations group to support productivity efforts.
Key Responsibilities include:
Serve as a strong cross-functional business partner with Procurement to identify and support savings initiatives, as well as own all communications with the CoPack team, related to 3rd party manufacturers
Monthly actuals reporting and support on MPR (Performance Review) routines
Coordinate monthly forecast process and inputs with buyers to ensure accurate forecasting
Support CoPack Lead in ad hoc requests and quantifying financials that results in a clear message for leadership and buyers
Align with Business Units that commodity related variances are appropriately recognized
Monitor contractual events (rebates, obligations, penalties) and hold clear, open lines of communication with Controllership team to ensure proper accounting
Responsible for project tracking routines with local/global teams; utilize SCPerf to systemically load
Planning (AOP) Build and communicate planning calendar with all key stakeholders
Standard Cost development and reconciliation
Partner with Business Units to capture the commodity related changes in CoPack finished good price
Coordinate the update of co-packer cost cards, including masking/transfer price
Rack-up of detailed plan and check-point presentations to leadership
Target adjustments between Operations/Commercial
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of 2.5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting, with preference towards Supply Chain/Procurement exposure
Strong Excel skills and working with multiple data sources required, with SAP experience preferred
Proven strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills a must
Motivated self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
