We are a nationwide consumer law firm specializing in consumer protection and debt defense. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for advocating on behalf of consumers, we are seeking a Nevada licensed attorney to join our growing practice! This role will be on a contracted basis.
This attorney should be able to handle debt related cases from inception to conclusion, including but not limited to attending hearings, drafting responsive pleadings, motion practice, and discovery. You should have excellent people skills, the ability to work autonomously, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills so as to meet strict deadlines.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of consumers facing debt challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Client Representation: Provide legal representation to clients facing consumer debt issues in court proceedings.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of consumer debt defense cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Case Review: Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare documentation for court proceedings.
- Legal Consultation: Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding consumer debt laws and regulation.
- Courtroom Advocacy: Advocate for clients' rights and interests throughout the legal process such as in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
Required Qualifications:
- Sole Practitioner
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing in Nevada
- Preferred: Debt Defense: 1 year
- Preferred: FDCPA / FCRA: 1 year
- Strong understanding of technology
- Effective Time Management
